Climate Change Management
Functions
- Planning, formulation and review of policies, strategies and legislation on climate change;
- Coordination of research on climate change impacts, adaptation and mitigation;
- Promotion of climate change education, awareness, and training programs
- Engagement with local and international partners for both technical and financial assistance;
- Coordinate the domestication and implementation of bilateral and multilateral agreements relating to climate change adaptation and mitigation;
- Compile reports under the Climate Change Conventions and any related instruments e.g. National Communications, Biennial Transparency Report, etc.
- Coordinate and manage governance of the carbon market in Zimbabwe ensuring compliance towards emissions reduction, community development, and sustainability
